Symbiosis in Hallandsöm
An installation on the old church wall for an exhibition in Årstad, Sweden, 2021. Årstad is located in a part of Sweden where they have this traditional way of embroidery, called hallandsöm. For this stone wall I embroidered lichen in hallandsöm and glued the embroidered lichen on the stones. I used the typical colors for hallandsöm, red and blue combined with the more natural lichen colors.
